The first meeting of the AGRINET (Agricultural Library Information Network) Advisory Committee meeting was held on 03^rd June 2025 at 9.00 a.m. at the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) premises. The chairman SLCARP welcome all the Agrinet committee members and discussed current activities related to research funding for NARS Scientists and role of libraries in NARS to facilitating information required for proposal writing by the Scientists. Accordingly he requested to conduct awareness progammes through Agrinet service for the researchers to access the current publications. During this meeting Chairman also handed over the appointment letters of the Members in the Agrinet Committee .

The committee has discussed about the 2025 operational plan, and aquatint of “Koha” software for the improvement of library management.  And awareness programmes of  NARS scientists have been planned for Department of Agriculture, Tea Research Institute, and Department of Export Agriculture within next six months.
